Multifunction printers round-up - tech|

tested five middle-of-the-range multifunctuion printers from five of the
biggest manufacturers - Canon Pixma MP500, Dell AIO 944 Photo, Epson Stylus
Photo RX700, HP Photosmart 3210 and Lexmark P6350. Here's a slice:
After having subjected these five multifunction printers to our rigorous tests, our overall impression of them is rather good. The exception is the Dell, which is a bit disappointing, notably because of the mediocre quality of its prints and its high cost of use. Each model has points in its favor, but two of them stand out. The first is the Photosmart 3210 from HP; thanks to its use of separate ink cartridges, and the great progress made by the leader in this market in speed and print costs, it comes up with top marks. The second is the Pixma MP500 from Canon, which benefits from the excellent ink quality of its manufacturer. Both also provide features not normally seen on printers in this market sector, including LCD screens and memory card slots.
