(hx) 10:07 PM CET - Feb,07 2006
Electronic Arts sent out a press release announcing Command and Conquer - The First Decade, one of the largest PC franchise compilations to date, shipped to stores nationwide today. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the special collector's edition includes a dozen of your favorite Command & Conquer (C&C) games spanning the last ten years plus a bonus DVD of commemorative video features. ($39.99 at Amazon)
The Command & Conquer The First Decade bonus DVD features a half-dozen exclusive videos including an interview with Louis Castle, who is also co-founder of Westwood Studios, the creator of the C&C franchise. As a special bonus and rare opportunity, C&C fans from around the world were offered a chance to prove their undying devotion to the C&C series by submitting videos showcasing why they are the biggest C&C fan. Six fan videos were selected and are featured in a montage piece included on the bonus DVD.

I had just recently played Tiberian Sun and RA2 again. With patches installed (which i downloaded just over a month ago from EA, and now for some reason they are not available anymore :) they ran perfectly under XPSP2. I'd guess some others work too.

C&C was a great series, played them all too many times! Hehe. Not inspired to play it again and I still have the original discs for Red Alert and all prior ones.

Between Empires, Civ 4 and Rise of Nations I am already enjoying myself. But of course a 'new' C&C is what I am looking for. I could make room for a new C&C. Is there any further rumors about that HX? I remember seeing a video but nothing more.

I'm really anxious for what comes next for Empires Dawn of the Modern World, its very addictive and challenging and it doesn't just end up in nukes and stuff. if u want to look
