  • The Outfit preview - IGN put up their preview of The Outfit for the Xbox 360. Their preview is based off a single-player demo that they viewed and played.  There are also a few new images up in their gallery as well.
  • UT2004 Mega Pack Overview - BeyondUnreal offers up a guide to Epic Games' new UT2004 MegaPack, which includes nine new maps (5 AS, 2 CTF, and 2 DM).
  • Minions of Mirth demo - Prairie Games announced the release of Minions of Mirth, a single-player and online RPG for Windows and Mac OSX. The Prairie Games Website offers a couple of ways to sample the project, as it hosts a 10 minute gameplay movie and a playable demo.
  • Galactic Dream demo - The Galactic Dream (demo ~ 34MB) is a new space-based RTS game from independent developer Evolution Vault.
  • Rainbow Six: Lockdown movie - Ubi Soft has released a new movie trailer for Rainbow Six: Lockdown, showing more of the squad-based tactical shooter sequel in the works Red Storm.
  • UT2004 Linux Hotfix Patch 3369.1 - UT2004 Linux Hotfix Patch 3369 (compressed with 7-Zip). The Unreal Tournament 2004 "hotfix" Patch Version 3369.1 corrects some issues in the 3369 patch.
  • Command & Conquer: Generals Patch v1.8 - New patches are now available for Command & Conquer: Generals, updating the English and European editions of the RTS game to version 1.8 in preparation for the release of Command & Conquer: The First Decade.
  • Rollercoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked! US Patch #1 - Atari has released a patch for RCT3 Soaked! bringing it in line with the recent Wild! expansion pack, including some features like custom billboards and tunnels etc, as well as optimizing RCT3's first expansion pack.
  • Tactical War v0.1 BF2 mod - As promised in their last update, the team behind the Tactical War mod have released v0.1
  • Frame City Killer delayed (Xbox 360) - Namco has announced that they will not make their February release date in Japan for the Unreal Engine 3 title Frame City Killer, stating that they want to "improve the quality of the product". It is currently slated for release in Japan sometime in the spring.
  • GRANDIA III PS2 in Feb 2005 - Square Enix announced that GRANDIA III for PS2 will be released stateside in February.
  • CNN goes hands-on with Revolution Controller - Shaped like a television remote control, the Revolution controller uses internal sensors to translate your wrist, arm and hand movements on screen. It's easy to use, but takes a few minutes to adjust your playing style. (I initially found myself waving my arms wildly, resulting in the onscreen pointer whizzing back and forth at blinding speeds.)
  • Rag Doll Kung Fu Creator Leaves Lionhead - Mark Healey, creator of Rag Doll Kung Fu has left Lionhead and long-term associate Peter Molyneux to create an independent development studio with a couple of Rag Doll Kung Fu contributors.
  • Ratbag Closed - In a move Scrooge would have approved of, Chicago-based Midway Games has shuttered its San Diego and Adelaide, Australia, studios, according to Adelaide's The Advertiser. The closures will send more than a hundred staffers packing just two weeks before the Christmas holidays.
  • Working Designs Closes Shop - It's official, Working Designs' President Victor Ireland announced that his company was dead. Working Designs was much beloved by fans for, most recently, their work on the Growlanser Generations for the PS2. Some other PS2 games with which they were involved were Gungriffon Blaze and Silpheed: The Lost Planet. Before this generation, Working Designs was involved with many classic titles, including the revered Lunar series.
