Call Of Juarez Interview - interview|
| (hx) 10:06 AM CET - Nov,17 2005 |
Gamecloud
has posted an interview with Techland producer Pawel Zawody talking about
Call of Juarez
(PC/Xbox), their upcoming Western first person shooter. The game is scheduled
for release in Q1/2006.
Gamecloud - What sort of missions and locations will be found in Call of
Juarez?
Pawel Zawody - The locations in CoJ can be divided into two basic
categories -dependant on the hero's character and individual skills. Billy tends
to sneak around a lot, silently maneuvers behind his enemies and attacks
silently. Thus, the game play is reminiscent of the Thief series, though it's
worth mentioning that CoJ boasts and extensive physics simulation engine, making
the also similar to Half Life 2. We haven't forgotten about folks who like to
solve problems by using brute force - pastor Ray is not afraid to kill anyone to
get what he's after. This mysterious man, an ex-gunman, is not afraid of
confrontation. Combat is an integral part of the pastor's missions.
The immensely varied missions won't leave you hanging for a second - main street
shootouts, barroom brawls, horseback pursuits, train stickups or a fort siege
are only some of the things that'll keep you entertained
