Sunday reading - Sony Confirms 102 PS3 Games - briefly
(hx) 01:50 PM CEST - Sep,18 2005
I watched Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle last night on DVD. The movie was pretty good. Directed in many ways like "Dude Where's my Car," this movie delivers close to the equivalent number of laughs. So if you want to see the MILF guy from 'American Pie' and some other guy try to be funny then go for it, but if you hated Dude Where's my Car don't bother.

Here's some stuff:
  • 3-in-1 home burner by Toshiba - Toshiba presents two all-in-1 burners, the AK-V200 with its 250Gb HDD, VHS slot and DVD-RAM/R/RW burner, and the AK-V100 with the same specs but a smaller HDD (160Gb).
  • HP Pavilion dv4000 for gaming - PCMag has a review of the HP Pavilion dv4000 ( ($1,449), which isn't a totally new notebook to those who followed the market. The interesting thing with the review unit is the dedicated ATI Mobility X700 128MB. That's a big leap from the integrated graphics. Also encouraging is that the X700 rivals the performance of the same GPU on a $2,100 Acer Ferrari 4000.
  • JVC Victor XA-HD500 MP3 Player - The JVC Victor XA-HD500 has an excellent 30 hours of battery life for a hard-drive mp3 player. The new portable music player features JVC's K2 technology for improved sound quality.
  • Motorola and Apple launch the world's first mobile phone with iTunes -The Motorola ROKR E1 features easy to use menus, simple navigation and playback, and the ability to simply switch from listening to music to talking on the phone and back again with the push of a dedicated music key. Motorola anticipates regional availability of the ROKR E1 within the next month.
  • PowerSquid Outlet Multiplier: No More Wasted Outlets - Most of us electronics obsessed folks know that the everyday power strip just doesn't cut it. A typical 5-outlet strip might be able to accommodate two bulky power converters, so you end up needing three of them to connect your five devices. Definitely not a pretty picture. To solve this problem some brilliant person eliminated the actual strip and simply connected together five flexible outlets.
  •  I/O Electronic Brush for Painting - The device allows children to pick up colours and textures from their environment and paint with them on a large digital screen. Ms Ryokai has dubbed it the I/O Brush as it has an input and an output. The children just call it the magic paint brush and use it in ways she never anticipated.
  • Make Your Own Swiss Watch - 121Time offers a online service where customers can configure and customize their own unique Swiss watch, be it an automatic or a quartz watch.
  • Gamma-Scout Portable Radiation Detector - The Gamma-Scout Radiation Detector is the latest development in handheld general purpose Geiger Counters. Designed around an accurate and reliable Geiger-Müller detector, Gamma-Scout measures and displays alpha, beta, gamma and x-ray data using an large LCD to show tissue dosage in both analog and digital formats.
  • Philips PerfectDraft - Draft Beer at Home - The features of the Philips PerfectDraft (HD 3600/20) sound very promising. The beer is cooled down to 3 degree Celsius by the system. The greatest thing is that the beer that is supplied via 6l kegs is staying fresh for four weeks.
  • Tokyo Game Show 2005 Booth Babes - The first TGS 2005 Booth Babes photo galleries have been published. The Mainichi Daily News has tons of photos in this gallery and in this one.
  • New International Harry Potter 4 Trailer - Pictures released the new domestic trailer for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the studio has aired a second international trailer, filled with special effects, on UK television.
  • Busted. Try and Sneak a Peak at the Boobs - check it out! (Flash game)
