Adrijan Rojak's Pot tested the PEG Link Mode using the NVIDIA GeForce
6800GT PCIe graphics card: The effect on the 6800 Ultra was minimal, with a
variance of only about 2%. That's probably because PEG Link Mode only
overclocked its memory bus. Evidently, the 6800 Ultra has plenty of memory
bandwidth. The difference would be more evident in cards with limited memory
bandwidth. When it comes to the ATI X300, PEG Link Mode definitely improved
its performance by 8-9% in the benchmarks we ran! That's a significant boost
in performance.
