  • Wrestle Kingdom announced [Xbox 360] - Yuke's has officially announced Wrestle Kingdom for Xbox 360, the game is scheduled to release in Japan in winter 2005.
  • Metroid Prime 3 Details Emerge [GC] - Developer Retro Studios acknowledged that Metroid Prime 3 would bring the trilogy to an end. "The plot of Prime 3 is about closure, told against the backdrop of an epic struggle," Retro revealed. Once more, Samus Aran's adventure will take place in first-person mode. "We don't plan on using a third-person camera for the times when Samus is in a suit," the company confirmed.  
    Resident Evil 4 Release Date [PS2] -
    Capcom confirmed to PS2.IGN that Resident Evil 4 will be shipping to North American retailers on October 25 -- less than a week before Halloween.
  • Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Demo Play & Win Contest [Xbox] - The contest has players getting the upcoming multiplayer game's demo disc and playing it the most in the week of August 2-8. The person who plays the demo the most on Xbox Live will win the Grand prize - a trip for two to a Battlefield 2: Modern Combat community event. Ten first place winners will get signed and framed game concept art, and 25 runners-up will score a copy of the full retail game.
  • SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy BLOG [PS2] - While the information on the site has a little bit of information so far about the upcoming SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs, it has largely focused on the history of the franchise.
  • Final Fantasy No Longer PS3 Exclusive? [Xbox 360] - Here's another one for you, apparently Square Enix has said that the Final Fantasy AND Dragon Quest series are no longer exclusive to the Playstation 3 platform. This comment comes from the Square-Enix President himself as translated on a non-english speaking website.
  • Mutant Storm 2 Unveiled [Xbox 360] - PomPom Software today announced the signing of an agreement with Microsoft that will see both a new version of Mutant Storm and a sequel appearing exclusively on Xbox 360.
  • The Incredibles Joins PS2 and GC  'Greatest Hits' [PS2/GC]- THQ Inc. today announced that The Incredibles videogame has been added to the Nintendo GameCube "Players Choice" and PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system "Greatest Hits" collections throughout North America. The Incredibles, developed by THQ's Heavy Iron Studios appeals to gamers of all ages and is now available for PlayStation 2 and GameCube at $19.99 MSRP.
  • The Incredible Hulk Pre-Order Bonus [PS2]- Vivendi Universal Games announced today that the exclusive pre-sell for the Super Hero game from Sierra Entertainment, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, is now available at major retailers nationwide.
  • Colin McRae Rally 2005 / TOCA Race Driver 2 on September 1st [PSP] - Codemasters has announced that the PSP versions of Colin McRae and TOCA will be joining the growing launch line-up for the PSP when it hits retail shelves on September 1st.
  • Rechargeable 2.4GHz Wireless Controllers for PS2, Xbox, GC - Intec introduced their Unlimited Rechargeable Wireless Controllers for the Xbox (G8089 / MSRP: $34.99), PS2 (G7089 / MSRP: $ 29.99), and GC (G5089 / MSRP: $29.99). The Unlimited Rechargeable Wireless Controllers, which run on today's top operating frequency of 2.4GHz for precise game control and instant response time, feature a rechargeable battery pack that offers up to 60 hours of game time and 500 charges per pack.
  • Gizmondo delays US launch - but angrily denies reports of problems [GIZ] - We're moving the release date, which is why there hasn't been anything promotion-wise yet," said the representative. "The new release date is now October for the North American Gizmondo launch. More details will be released next week. There will be a launch event, but at present it's not been decided where or when."
  • Sony PSP v2.0 Good or Bad? -  If you're the sort of person who is perfectly willing to hack the old firmware, or have someone hack for you, then this announcement is likely going to be bad news.
