With playing all that singleplayer comes interacting with the game's artificial intelligence, whether you're in the campaign or just regular skirmish mode. I can't help but feel that the game's AI personalities haven't really been that well explained. Basically, as you know, each civ plays like its most famous leader typically did; Napoleon plays very offensively, Suleiman is much more economic, that sorta thing. However, they also taunt you quite a lot, with their personalities fairly well represented in their selection of taunts, around 500 each. You really do want to kick the tar out of Napoleon just because he seems to love to rub it in your face when he's winning. While it's a lot more fun to play the AI in AoE III, that's compensated for the fact that ES isn't focusing as much on making it unbeatable for experts. I understand that Matt Scadding was having some troubles with the current AI, but with the game having another couple months for changes, it's suspected that AoE III's AI won't be spectacularly difficult for seasoned players of the game to defeat.
