Half-Life 2 DM Maps Released - briefly|
| (hx) 09:29 AM CEST - Apr,14 2005 | Three Half-Life 2: Deathmatch maps are
now
available via Steam. These maps were created by the three players who won
the recent HL2:DM mapping contest. If you have HL2:DM installed in your Steam
games list, you will receive the new maps automatically. This release also
includes a Counter-Strike: Source update which fixes incorrect player names
appearing in the scoreboard.
The new maps are:
- Winner: dm_underpass by Scott M Jordan, USA
- 1st Runner Up: dm_resistance* by Jonathan Linker, Germany
- 2nd Runner Up: dm_powerhouse by Michael Schulz, Germany
In related HL news, the
Nuclear Winter campaign of extended missions for Half-Life: Opposing Force
has just updated to be Steam-compatible and has a new version available for
download.
It comprises 29 new maps plus a ton of new scripted scenes, models, artwork,
character voices, sound effects and music.
There's also a new comic that was recently released
at the Steam Forums. The comic is
entitled Apostasy and currently has one full issue released. |
