Empire Earth II Preview; Pre-order - preview|
| (hx) 07:17 PM CET - Feb,23 2005 |
The chaps over at
GamesDomain have posted a preview of
Empire Earth II, Mad
Doc's upcoming real-time strategy game. Here's a taster:
Empire Earth II offers more: More units, more game types, more options, more buildings, more research and research paths, and even new epochs to explore. This seems like bad news to those who felt the first game was overambitious, but it's mitigated by new "micromanagement" tools that help divvy your empire up into manageable chunks. Instead of manipulating each peasant into performing a task, you can use the citizen manager to allocate the work load. Separate screens let you see how your economy, military, and empire are faring, which lets you take on the mantle of governor, king, or "God on Earth."
In related news, Vivendi Universal Games has officially launched the
Empire Earth II website
along with announcing an special offer for people who pre-order the game - they
will receive a DVD that will include a single player demo, the official Empire
Earth II soundtrack and over 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes video. The game should ship in late April. |
