Final Destination Demo - demo|
| (hx) 07:08 PM CET - Jan,26 2005 |
Mug Software, the
independent game developer who released the internationally-successful game The
Key, has just released
a
playable demo (~50MB) for its next science-fiction adventure game,
Final
Destination. This title is slated to be released sometime in 2005.
Final Destination will have an interface very similar to that of Myst or Riven. It will have static, pre-rendered 3d graphics, which I am making in Bryce 3D. It's a pretty simple, standard, point-and-click interface - nothing complicated about it.
Intended Audience: The game is for people who like sci-fi adventure games in which they explore long-abandoned places and try to figure out what's going on; it is built along the same lines as The Key. You'll be trying to get old machines to work, piece together events that happened a long time ago, reading notes left behind by people who used to live where you are now exploring, and so forth. If all this sounds like fun, you'll probably enjoy Final Destination.
