an interview with Synetic project manager Andreas Leicht, as he talks about
World Racing 2 (video
~ 20MB), their upcoming hard-driving sequel. World Racing 2 is currently
scheduled to be released end of Q4 2005 for Xbox, PC and PS2. Here's a taster:
WarlockTeam : How will the cars handle in the WR2? Will the hardest (sim) mode in the WR2 be the same as the WR1 setting at 100% sim? Will you be able to turn off the oversteer help?
Andreas: We worked a little bit on the realistic physics and fixed some settings, so that the feeling for sim will be the same as in World Racing 1. World Racing 2 should not become a "hardcore" simulation like GTR or GP Legends and if you switch off the oversteer help the cars handling is very nervous J. So we decided to let the simulation as it was in World Racing 1 but improved the arcade physics a lot.
