Jaded-Gamer.com has posted a Q&A with with Oleg Yavorsky of GSC Game World as he talks about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, their upcoming first person tactical action-RPG. Here's an excerpt:
Q: How much has changed in the game since development started, is there anything you've had to cut which you would've liked to include?

Initially we had quite a different concept for the game, the game was set in far future and was supposed to be a team-based shooter about conquering planets. Later then we changed the concept drastically and set the game in murky Chernobyl zone to pit the player into grim post-apocalyptic world. While the active development goes, changes happen almost daily, as on technology side, so as feature-wise. One feature we planned to include initially is the co-operative play-through, but due to technical challenges we had to sacrifice it for now. Right now we are at a stage where almost no changes occur - we finalise and debug the features which have been accomplished to bring a balanced and polished product to players soon.
