- Post a comment VALVE Software has updated
its
Steam Survey, and the results make for interesting reading for followers of
the hardware market. The survey sampled nearly 867,000 unique systems and
reveals that NVIDIA graphics cards have over a 50% share of those surveyed,
largely due to the popularity of low-end products like the GeForce FX 5200 and
GeForce4 MX. Out of the current generation of high-end cards, the GeForce 6800GT
is the most popular, being used by 2.6% of gamers. Interestingly, the bulk of
ATI's 41% share is based on the mid-range and high-end Radeon 9600 and 9800
series. The processor figures show the Intel is clearly still the processor
leader - 48% use AMD, whilst 52% use Intel. All results can be found
here.
