Originally released in 1988, Truxton has now returned - modernised for the latest gaming systems, but retaining the heart of the original's bullet hell brilliance. John takes a look at the new game across multiple systems, compares against the original, and assesses how the original 3:4 aspect ratio gameplay works on today's somewhat wider 16:9 display standard.

Yeah, the wide screen sucks. I wonder if it would work with turning the screens sideways - like in the arcades did with the 4:3 screens.

Raptor was great but I still prefer Tyrian.
