- Radeon 4870 Gets $50 Price Cut to $149, Radeon 4850 Will Drop to $129
- The ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB
will drop $50 in price, from the $199 segment down to $149. It will
compete in this price point primarily against NVIDIA's GTS 250 1GB rebrand
using the old G92 chip, variants of which were used in the 8800GT, 9800GT,
9800GTX, 9800GTX+, etc
- Seagate's Barracuda 7200.12 hard drive Tested - With its
performance all over the map, the Barracuda 7200.12
is difficult to
recommend to enthusiasts looking for a speedy system drive. However,
near-silent noise levels and low power consumption do make it an attractive
option for quiet desktops and home theater PCs.
- NVIDIA Windows 7 *BETA* drivers (181.71) - NVIDIA has released
a new graphics
drivers for Windows 7 beta 32-bit / 64-bit.
- Microsoft spells out Windows 7 activation - Alex Kochis, director
of Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage program, said last week that
users who don't activate the beta software "will receive persistent
notifications, including a message from the system tray every 60 minutes" to
"Activate Windows Now."

- Hands-On Video with Samsung Omnia HD i8910 - As you may recall,
the Omnia HD
i8910 does not get its juice through a Windows Mobile framework.
Instead, the TouchWiz UI has been overlaid on top of a Symbian full-touch
operating system. Other notable features include the 8 megapixel camera,
5.76Mbps HSUPA, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, 720p HD video support, DLNA technology, dual
stereo speakers, 720p @ 24fps video recording, FM radio with RDS, GPS,
proximity sensor, accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi, and an microSDHC
memory card slot.
- Watchmen iPhone Game is a Turn-Based MMO - It won't be all that
surprising to find Watchmen games on the major consoles, but the Apple
iPhone is getting in on the action as well.
