- Zotac mini PC combines Core i7 CPU with mSATA RAID - This palm-sized PC is equipped with an ultrabook-class
Core i7-3537U processor from the Ivy Bridge generation. The chip
has dual cores, Hyper-Threading support, and a 3.1GHz peak Turbo speed.
If you don't need quite so much pep, the slower Zbox Nano ID64 is
available with a Core i5-3337U. Another model, the Zbox Nano ID63,
comes with a Core i3-3227U, which is slower still.

- Google Delivering Major New Version of Maps - Google
announced that it is making a new version of Maps available to
Android devices today, with a new app for iOS devices to follow soon.
The overhauled Maps app for Android takes an approach similar to that
of the iOS Maps app that Google released late last year. In addition to
the user interface changes, Google incorporated a range of new
features. Google Maps offers a new Explore tool that lets people see
what's nearby without the need to perform an actual search. The
information is presented on cards similar to those used in Google Now.
Google also improved the navigation tools within the app, with support
for more dynamic rerouting around traffic problems. The app also adds
more Zagat reviews, user reviews, and will visually incorporate Google
Offers into maps as people search through areas where Offers are
available. Last, Google is rolling out a new version of Maps
specifically for tablets. Google cautions, however, that the new
version of Maps loses several features. For example, offline maps is no
longer supported, and neither is My Maps. Google said that My Maps will
be added back in at a later date. The new Google Maps should be
available in the Google Play Store soon. Google didn't say exactly when
the iOS version is expected to arrive.
- Lumia 1020 Windows Phone on AT&T for $299, coming July 26
- Nokia has unveiled and announced the Lumia
1020 for AT&T. The Windows Phone is the latest flagship handset
from the Finnish manufacturer, following the Lumia 920, Lumia 928 and
Lumia 925. What's important here is the jump to a new group, no longer
are we wrapped up in the 9xx series. Specifications wise, the Lumia
1020 sports a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage,
4.5-inch AMOLED display (with Gorilla Glass 3, PureMotion HD+
ClearBlack, High Brightness Mode, Sunlight readability and Super
sensitive touch), PureView 41MP rear shooter (6 lens optics, High
resolution zoom 3x, Autofocus, Xenon Flash), 1.2MP HD wide angle
front-facing camera, 2000mAh battery and all the usual bells and
whistles one would expect from a Nokia Windows Phone.
- Windows Phone to get VPN support, encrypted email - In
a post on the Windows Phone Blog, Tony Mestres, vice president of
WP partner and channel marketing, announced a new "enterprise feature
pack" for Windows Phone 8, intended to offer greater security and
improved control for IT departments managing handsets in business
environments. The bad news? There's a long wait until the enterprise
feature pack is ready - Microsoft says it won't be released until the
first half of 2014. It will be delivered "as an update" to the OS,
meaning that it could arrive as part of the Windows Phone 8.1 'Blue'
update, which is now also expected to launch early next year.

collaborated closely with US intelligence services to allow users'
communications to be intercepted, including helping the National
Security Agency to circumvent the company's own encryption, according
to top-secret documents obtained by the
Guardian.

at NC State have developed a way to print liquid metals into 3D structures at
room temperature. The structures are stabilized by a thin oxide
'skin' that forms on the liquid metal. The approaches shown here

stretchable wires". Whoa! If you can get though this entire video

better man than I am :P
