The Windows 7 build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400 was considered for testing. Since its 32bit, it was tested against 32bit versions of Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3. The overall results were very promising for Windows 7. It outperformed its successors Vista and XP in almost every factor tested and ranked #1. Windows Vista ranked #2 with the AMD and #3 with the Intel.

ZDnet journalism epic fail... and testing results released as 1,2,3 lol so pathetic... MS felt the need to make [mmb] on a task button, open! a new empty document.. the fuukk/ng retards, I won't even begin to explain why that is such a stupid choice.. I should point out that RMB on a taskbar button brings up the new jump menu... yes thats not bad.. what is bad is that if you're not running noob taskbar mode,, that context menu doesn't anylonger appear directly next to the cursor postion.. its now spaced above ur mouse ..wow that fuukk/ng helps.. let alone all the other common options like , Move, min/max.. Move being a very important one I've found in that its a major help for multimons setups when a app gets lost off screen.... course they could have just given the user some choice over all these things like what [mmb] should do when used over a running task. , but that would be far too hard actually providing a dialog with more user customizable control over how the taskbar works .. or if want a smaller video thumbnail being processed for certain apps, cus I just luv chucking away those extra cpu cycles to useless sh/t that doesn't provide any benefit to my xperience

..And what little control over the Taskbar is just barely enough to get it back to how it looked before .. thanq fuukk for that..well done MS you cleary know how to make progress these days( I can only imagine how many nubs wondering how can i get it back to how it was before, it was better, its also funny how many ppl over the years I have noticed that don't actually find taskbar groups useful at all.. yes I've always found it better to have them over the taskbar no grouped.. even if you only get a little info text showing, at leasts a quicker direct click away.. and not buired into some extra step process of going into a menu... its amazing how many novice users don't even know that chaning that feature is only a rmb menu away.. and its Win7 eng blog showed a vista statistic on how many users disable that sh/t feature, 10%, a small number, but by comparisson of other features changed from MS default setup it was huge.. ofc course MS are stupid at interpreting all the fuukk/ng statistics they gather.. )... I won't even bother getting going into the sh/ty GUi ( I'm still amazed they finally removed that crappy blue/cyan line from the right and bottom borders of ui, that must have taken what 5mins max to fix.... after how many years has it been since the sh/ty vista release?.. they are so pathetic) or 7 Explorerer *still fuukk/ng unbelievably crap* you'd think maybe they could improve it after that sh/te pile that is Vista Explorer.. just maybe make an improvement on it... nah screw that.


So I wish these so called reviewing blog spack heads would get a fuukk/ng clue. There is more to OS than read/write test speeds (something that should just be left for hardware testing.. its a laugh that they are even having to compare such results, the OS should in no way be affecting such things badly... its only because epic sh/te Vista OS and MS retarded design choices DRM/UAC/ or just trying to 'optimize' things for the averagge nub, so that file copy etc doesn't affect the user experience, somehow them idiots failed to see thats just exactly what they would end up affecting (I don't think MS have a clue about anymore).. while hard coding such settings in... like the idiots they are.. that lead to a number of slower performance issues.. And a lot of slowdowns and extra wasted cpu% cycles and audio crackling with proper audio hardware, something that used to be thought of as a way to offload audio so it could be processed through proper dedicated hardware and to enjoy the benefit of EAX in games and higher quality sound/effects etc.. I'm sure creative were absoluty joyed at MS retarded redesign of the audio stack, good for feck all drm infected sh/te that it is (audiodg.exe) a process that lead to a number of issues with sound streams and network file copies. And still does, but hey you can control an individual applications sound levels from the even more sh/tter layed out sound dialog than XP(yes its worse, and requires more steps to do adjust the same sh/t) course any application I've had outputting sound has.. would believe it.. had its own volume control adjustment... and probably with more hotkey/mousewheel support than MS could ever bother putting into its own sh/t software. The only benefit of it was for the few applications like browsers still designed by idiots who have failed to implement finer control over sound output per tab.. though you could say the responsbility on that issue is with Flash/Silverlight developers mainly etc but users should really be able to have a common rightclick context option on those objects and have access to a direct sound levels/mute from that object. instead of coming accross them looking to see if the developer has provided any sensible volume control..course with flash ads etc ur screwed. My point being that the whole change to audio handling was stupid and poorly implemented right from the start.. they should have gotten the likes of big pc audio suppliers on board with Vista major changes to these things way way way before release. Instead I'd imagine a lot of PC hardware buyers won't look at seperate audio cards anymore I know I won't creative labs still has a forum filled with daily complaints regarding its drivers and Fista.. and I really don't think MS gets enough flak for it.


. Win7 is damn joke though, they've done sod all to actually improve on anything that really matters.. unless ur nub which case you could be lead to believe its perfect, that's all I'll say for now.

Whoever you quoted is clueless imo. Windows 7 is a lot better than Vista in many ways most importantly performance and usability. Having put more than 24hrs into the OS in terms of usage it is really nice, so nice, I blew away my Vista and I'm using Windows 7. Being it is beta it is very solid and I haven't run into any snag problems I had on Vista. Windows 7 is more what I expected Vista to be overall.

usability better in win7? performance shouldn't be a factor seeing as it shouldn't be having a worse affect on the hardware performance in the first place unless its actualyl really improving the experience for the user... which tbh it doesn't really, course even then you'd a be nub to believe such frivolous tests results as those.. that is not a clear sign of the overal OS performance and there is lot more to testing the perf of an OS than that shite. For example the the usability and cutting down on the number of steps required to do the same thing.. any fucking idiot who says that is improved in Win7 is an idiot because none of that shit has improved, and the real power users are still better off with Xp as it by far still more customizable, Vista+Win7 have become less customizable! and thus usability is far less, as there are better developers out there making far better shell extensions, addons that add a far greater ease of use experience that Vista+Win7 could ever do.. so get that in your thick head! ... and yes even the slightest of crap improvements over Vista could be considered better.. but tbh I think you're clueless, anynone who can think Win7 is an improvement in UX/UI is a nub quite frankly, the perfect target audience for MS nowadays actually.

I've been using Windows 7 and XP quite equally and W7 is a vast improvement overall. I'm not going to argue my opinion with you. I can see W7 as being more attractive to move to and most everyone I know feels the same. There are a lot of nice changes and optimizations in features and GUI's. It's a lot more usable to me overall.
