  • Project X cracks the Xbox - A team called ProjectX has released around 23 iso games, people have questioned if they work on normal consoles and not the dev units.  People have said that ProjectX is Echelon+Kalisto working together as a team. There’s even a video showing someone loading a burned Xbox game onto a normal unit and not a dev. Here are some screenshots from the video: A man with a mask show's a regular cd-r, A CD-R is being inserted into the Xbox, Blood Wake is loading in the Xbox, Blood Wake is played from the regular CD-R, A man, yet again shows the regular CD-R, WORKING Video Link., Another WORKING OC48 Video Link.(big thanks Ibellite.com & headliner.nl).
  • CS 1.4 includes wall hacks! - There are built in wall hacks and a zoom script in CS 1.4. All it takes is a simple 2 line config script and you have yourself a working wall hack. The zoom script also serves as a wall hack if used properly. (thanks ASE Tools)
  • Scientists' deaths are under the microscope - Eleven microbiologists mysteriously dead over the span of just five months. Some of them world leaders in developing weapons-grade biological plagues. Others the best in figuring out how to stop millions from dying because of biological weapons. Still others, experts in the theory of bioterrorism.
  • Matrox G1000 to be announced on the 14th? - Matrox Graphics is really preparing the new chip called G1000 also known as code-named Parhelia. G1000 features rendering pipelines with 4 TMU per each one, DirectX 9 support (it also includes Pixel Shaders and Vertex Shaders 2.0 as well as all the other features of the new API from Microsoft such as Displacement Mapping and increased to 40-bit color-depth), 512-bit 2D graphics core, 256 MB of DDR SDRAM memory, 3Dlabs` P10, 256-bit bus-width, dual 400 MHz RAMDACs, support AGP 8x.
  • Samsung Syncmaster 151B 15 Inch TFT Monitor - Have you had the chance to try an LCD yet? Have you actually ever seen one? Have you ever viewed photos on a LCD? If you have answered yes to any of those questions, you will know just how comfortable these monitors are to use. No eyestrain, lower power bills, more workspace, sharper colours, I just can't see why anyone would WANT a normal monitor.
  • eVGA GF4 Ti4600 - This review will deal with a Ti4600 and how it compares to a card two generations behind it, the GeForce2 GTS. People always say to wait two generations before buying a new card anyway. Remember throughout the article that a GF2 GTS performs very closely to a Radeon DDR (32mb and 64mb).
  • Morrowind  - Pauses are caused by Safedisc copy protection - I was curious about this so I downloaded a no-cd patch for the game and poof the loading pauses are gone, the ones where you get the loading message remain of course but the one where no message appears are caused by safedisc constantly scanning the cd to make sure the right disc is in there. You will still need to have the cd in the drive for the music and voices i believe and who knows what else but this removes the checks that safedisc does. Boosted performance by a good 15% on my system.
  • Nvidia Detonator v29.20 Performance Comparison - X-bios have published a quick performance comparison using 3DMark2001 SE /3DMark2000 and the newly leaked Nvidia Detonator 29.20.
  • W32.Klez Removal Tool - Symantec has released their tool to remove infections of W32.Klez.E@mm, W32.Klez.H@mm, W32.ElKern.3587, and W32.ElKern.4926.
  • Test your video card for Warcraft 3 - Want to know if your video card will handle Warcraft 3? Blizzard just released a tool to determine that.
  • nVHardPage v0.87.7b - This program serves on enabling/disabling hidden features in nVidia control panel and tweaking nVidia Direct3D & OpenGL settings.
  • Official NVIDIA Detonators v28.84 W2k/XP & 28.85 WinNT 4.0 - Nvidia released a new Detonators for Windows 2000/XP and NT 4.0.
