- DOOM3 TC: Hexen: Edge Of Chaos announced - A new total conversion
on the horizon for DOOM 3, entitled
Hexen: Edge Of Chaos,
takes the form of none other than the classic Ravensoft game, Hexen. The TC
will feature all of the weapons as featured in Hexen 1 and as a bonus, the
gravity gun will be used in the form of a magical spell. There will be 3
episodes with 6 maps initially, then they intend on releasing another 12 maps,
for a total of 6 episodes to match the content of Hexen 1. The intended
release date is February or March 2005.
- BF1942 TV (BFTV) - the dream is nearing reality - Andreas Dahlstrom
is working hard on the final coding of BFTV (homepage).
If everything goes as planned you will be able to watch BFTV in a couple of
weeks, being able to watch replays and live streaming of matches, freely
spectating any player. No reduced quality of sound or pictures - just pure
Battlefield 1942 as you know it. For now BFTV has the following features: 1)
Record - record a match and save it on your hard drive 2) A so far rather
buggy demo-player where you use the game as your player. (As some know it from
the games CS/HL/DOD) 3) Choose your own camera angle and 4) Wind on

"10 worst violent video game" list in the hopes of alerting unwary parents
and grandparents to the blood-soaked and anti-social content of the games that
might otherwise be purchased as holiday gifts for children.
- EA considers changing rules on overtime payments - An internal memo
from EA's senior vice president of human resources Rusty Rueff to staff at the
company has revealed that
the firm is contemplating a change to how it classifies jobs with regard
to overtime eligibility.
- UBI Soft "Alexander" is incompatible with WinXP SP2 - The issue is
reported in the internal readme and *not* on the box which claims "XP

- "Laser scam" gamblers to keep 1 million pounds -
The BBC
are reporting that a group of gamblers who won more than L1m at the Ritz
Casino by using laser technology have been told by police they can keep their
winnings. A laser scanner linked to a computer was allegedly used to gauge
numbers likely to come up on the roulette wheel.
