Steel Saviour Announced - briefly

SR-71 Games sent us a press release (PDF) annoucing that it will publish Steel Saviour (free trial ~ 234MB), a retro-style scrolling shooter with vivid Technicolor-style graphics and dynamic arcade gameplay. Steel Saviour is available for immediate download for $19.99 USD and a boxed retail version is planned to ship to stores in North America this fall.

Features:
- Combo system that rewards players with ship upgrades and bonuses
- Dynamic lighting and weather conditions including fog, rain, mist, and firestorms
- 40 channels of stereophonic sound effects
- Single player Story Mode and two-player Cooperative Mode
- Five huge worlds filled with enemies that have specialized attacks
