Sony Drops Kojima's PHYSINT - briefly

PlayStation walked away from Hideo Kojima’s spy game PHYSINT over budget, profit, and exclusivity concerns, Bloomberg reports.
Sources told Jason Schreier that Death Stranding and its sequel did not hit PlayStation’s revenue targets.
The new project had already missed deadlines and was tracking well over budget, years from launch.
Sony also did not want to put hundreds of millions into a title that would not stay a permanent console exclusive.
Kojima said PlayStation notified him in June; Xbox has now agreed to publish PHYSINT on Xbox and PC.
Sony confirmed it stepped away and said the relationship with Kojima Productions remains.
