"Take-Two, through its counsel of record, has submitted a sworn declaration confirming that the purpose for which the DMCA subpoena is sought is to obtain the identity of an alleged infringer or infringers, and that such information will only be used for the purpose of protecting Take-Two's rights." Both Microsoft and Discord apparently have until 4th September - around two weeks - to produce all information related to the CyberLeek persona, which has taken credit for the GTA 6 leaks. Take-Two is seeking information "sufficient to identify the user(s) person" from Microsoft, including details like account IDs, registration emails, IP addresses, phone numbers, and linked Xbox and Google accounts. Discord, meanwhile, has been petitioned to hand over "all user accounts that are/were members communicating with the Discord servers" such as CyberLeek, CinematicRockstar, Surfer24K, Odyssey, and DarkViperAU.
Update:They’re not just hunting the leaker.Take-Two got court approval to pull personal info (emails, phone numbers, IPs, device IDs) from ~100k Discord users across multiple servers... including DarkViperAU’s 90k-member server. Most of those people are complete bystanders… https://t.co/KrOEG3l3W5 pic.twitter.com/t8B59WkxZT— Pagan (@Pagan_GMR) August 22, 2026
