A playable demo for Restaurant Empire is now available for download from FilePlanet. As I mentioned earlier, this Trevor Chan's strategy is gone gold and will be available later this month for suggested retail price of US$29.99. In this game, players will experience business-simulation and RPG gameplay as they choose from five restaurant cuisines to choose from, over 30 unique chefs to interact with and nearly 180 recipes to source. Players can also micromanage their business to their hearts content including handling the decor, hiring and firing employees, choosing the menus. The game also offers a competition much like "The Iron Chef" where your chef can go head-to-head against the top chefs of the day in a challenge that will bring you fame and fortune. Add to that an open-ended Sandbox mode for unabashed play and single-player mode that lets players experience some interesting role-playing elements that affect gameplay. For those who never heard about this guy, Chan has created a number of memorable strategy games over the years including the Seven Kingdoms series of games, Virtual U, the Capitalism series, and Hotel Giant.
