  • BMX Game XXXcels in Being Lewd, Crude  - Acclaim Entertainment's new $50 bike-riding simulation "BMX XXX" is so crass, juvenile and pornographic, it's as if the developers wanted to see just how far they could go and still sell it as a mass-market game. Here's a product whose creators take pride in having developed one of the few "adult" games on the market. It rewards players with 30-second videos of gyrating strippers and allows them to create their own topless bike riders. It's laced with obscenities. On one level, BMX XXX is destined to be a laughable illustration of the ridiculous amount of effort some males are willing to undertake just to see a bit of flesh. It's a psychology thesis waiting to be written.
  • A $199 PC with No Windows, No Intel Inside - By dropping software from Microsoft and avoiding "Intel inside," retailer Wal-Mart Stores is offering a $199 computer it says is a hot seller on its Web site, attracting novices looking for a way onto the Internet as well as high-end users wanting a second box.
  • Debian Installer alpha available - The Debian Installer project are pleased to announce an alpha version of the new Debian-Installer project which is the actively developed replacement for the much maligned boot-floppies installer. This initial alpha is only available for i386, as although ports to other architectures are progressing well, the team feels they are too immature to be released as alphas at this time. The installer is able to provide a useable Debian system however this is only alpha quality and so the usual disclaimers apply. Special attention would be appreciated on CDROM installations and on IDE hardware.
  • Doom III Monster, Shots and Scans - There are some new shots / scans / video from DOOM III - check it out!
  • Ultima 7 in Windows -  A new and exciting era has dawned for fans of Ultima 7, parts 1 and 2. Anyone who has ever played - or tried to play - these immortal classics will know how frustrating and heartbreaking it can be to get them running, especially on a modern computer with a PCI sound card. Those worries are now over. Thanks to a new and quite brilliant utility, Black Gate and Serpent Isle can be run effortlessly in Windows 95 or 98, with virtually any kind of sound card. With the latest addition (U7.DPMI) it is also compatible with Windows 2000, and possibly even Linux.
  • jv16 PowerTools 1.2 - jv16 PowerTools 1.2 is released! jv16 PowerTools is a full set of tools to keep your computer up and running. The beta testing period of jv16 PowerTools 1.2 has now begun. The new version contains a lot of new features.
  • Leaktest 1.2 - LeakTest is a safe and small (27k bytes), completely benign chameleon utility which can be used to simulate the presence and effect of Trojan horses, viruses, and adware/spyware running in your computer. It simply and quickly tells you whether it has been able to slip out past your firewall's outbound Trojan/Virus/Spyware protections and establish a standard TCP connection with our NanoProbe server.
  • NVRefreshTool 2.1 - A new version of NVRefreshTool 2.1.is out. This new version features 41.xx Detonator support andHorizontal and Vertical spanning mode support, and many other.
  • DVD-Cloner 1.9 - DVD-Cloner supports most DVD-RW drive. The DVD of cloned could be played on any players which support compatible format.
  • RegionKiller v2.7.0.2 - RegionKiller 2 takes care of the proper functioning of your (Region Code free) DVD Drive - from now on you'll be able to watch foreign DVDs on your home theater PC without being hassled by possibly non-working DVDs.
  • NVIDIA Stereo Wrapper -  GiofX wrote a small 15 KB DLL patch under WinXP that enables Det 40.xx compatible with Stereodrivers for your 3D Goggles, it recalls the nvidia stereo config dialog, unfortunately the first screen does not save the settings but other config are ok! This wrapper should works very fine with XP Pro / Det 40.72 / Stereo 30.87
  • Realtek RTL8139(A/B/C/D/8130)/810X) Drivers 4.00.5.05 - Realtek has released some new drivers for the RTL8139(A/B/C/D/8130)/810X series version 4.00.5.05 for WinAll. It's recommended to install the drivers manually.
