- Network Worms Continue To Attack Linux - Following on the heals of
the "Slapper" worm, which only two weeks ago was detected attacking Linux
computers, comes the next outbreak, this time the work of the
Linux-worm "Mighty". Many features of "Mighty" are taken from its
predecessor, the network worm "Slapper". Like "Slapper", "Mighty" infects
computers running Linux and the Apache Web-server and also uses the OpenSSL
Security System exploit to gain access. Moreover, "Mighty" partly borrows the
source code spreading method from "Slapper": to ensure compatibility with all
versions of OpenSSL, one of the worm's components (sslx.c, which is
responsible for penetration via the security system vulnerability) recompiles
itself anew on each computer.

- ABIT Siluro GeForce4 Ti4600 Review - The GPU cooler is also made
from aluminium, and is designed to not only look great, but also serve its
purpose well. Removing the ramsinks reveals they are adhered to the memory
chips with very sticky thermal tape, although thankfully there is a good
amount of thermal paste under the GPU cooler. Just like the Ti4400,
the Ti4600's PCB has a black/brown finish, contrasting well with the silver
heatsinks.
- Apache fixes scripting flaw - According to a posting to
BugTraq this week, the popular Web server platform is vulnerable due to
"SSI error pages of the Web server not being properly sanitised of malicious
HTML code".
Admins are advised to update their Web server software to either Apache
versions 1.3.27 or 2.0.43, which are both resilient to the attack. These
versions incorporate a fix, as explained in more depth on Apache's Web site,
by security researcher Matthew Murphy, who reported the flaw.
