  • Greek govt bans all computer games - The government of Greece is making heroic efforts to humiliate the nation in front of the entire world, by banning all electronic games. That's right; something as innocent as playing computer chess on your laptop in a hotel lobby is now a crime with penalties of up to three months in stir and a fine of 10,000 euros. The purpose behind this charming legislation is to crack down on Internet gambling (which already was illegal) -- or, rather, to enable legislators to enact their little public dance of righteous aversion to Internet gambling.

  • Why FBI Computer Force Ain't Fat - Mike Sweeny, fueled by renewed patriotism after Sept. 11, wanted to offer his 20-plus years of experience in computer security to the FBI. But he was disheartened by job requirements that required him to have a college degree, be under 37 years old, morally irreproachable ... and physically fit. The FBI does have non-agent positions for people who are highly skilled in areas such as computer forensics (collecting evidence from computers). Those who don't qualify for agent positions can still serve as civilian employees, according to an FBI spokeswoman.
  • 3D cloaking process patent? - Ray Alden of North Carolina is attempting to patent a "three dimensional cloaking process and apparatus" for concealing objects and people (WO 02/067196). The idea hinges on carefully mimicking background lighting conditions to help render an object invisible, similar to how a chameleon blends in with its surroundings. The rear and front surfaces of an object are covered with a material containing an array of photodetectors and light emitters respectively.
  • Intel Cuts Prices on Its Chips Up to 52 Percent - Intel cut prices on its microprocessors by as much as 52 percent over the U.S. holiday weekend as the world's largest chipmaker makes room for faster chips and passes on manufacturing efficiencies to customers. The price cuts, made on Sunday, come less than a week after Intel introduced its fastest Pentium 4 to date, running at 2.8 gigahertz, for example, cut the price of its Pentium 4 chip running at 2.4 gigahertz by 52 percent to $193 from $400 each, in lots of 1,000.

LOL what the hell are the greek politicians on ? is this really what the majority of greeks want ? Will G.W. Bush attack Greece unless Greece abolishes these laws, and result in effecting the U.S economy as a majority of games are produced in the U.S ? Watch the Space, unless your a greek resident then the government will have probably applied gaming websites and online games within the its gaming law.

Of course the next saying of the greece government will be "We don't know why but the drug abuse is rising forcefully..." .... But do to some point I do understand the greece politicians.
