- Game Boy Advance RGB LCD Project - Running Sonic Advance on my
Sharp TV and the MiracleRay simultaneously using the PSOne AV port on the back of the
LCD and an Interact PS2 AV cable. Funny that my nephew prefers the LCD screen over the TV
screen. Possibly because the LCD gives higher resolution and provides RGB level quality.
The LCD screen is so bright and vibrant with colors that I had to turn down the Brighness
level to take the pictures, otherwise the LCD screen looks white.
- Thieving chimp is no chump - Police in Hackney, London, are hunting a monkey that may have
been trained to steal mobile phones. Officers believe that two people may have been
victims of the monkey business over the weekend after two burglaries were reported in as
many hours. One victim, Mustapha Riat, confirmed seeing a hairy black chimpanzee climb
through his ground floor flat window at about 8.30am on Sunday morning. The chimp stole
his mobile phone from the bedside table before make a quick exit.
- Europe Plans To Monitor All Electronic Correspondance - Plans
are in store for all electronic correspondence, including email and phone logs, to be
monitored by Europol, the EU branch of police and intelligence services. Meeting in the
Hague last April, various security officials drew up the proposal, a "common
code" for all EU states to store electronic data, even chat-room discussions, phone
calls and text messages made on mobiles.
- Software pirates cost industry $11 billion - Global
software piracy is
on the increase costing the industry almost $11 billion . The worst offender is
Vietnam where an estimated 97 per cent of all software is unlicensed. It was followed by
other offenders including China where 94 per cent of software is illegal, Indonesia (89
per cent), Ukraine (89 per cent) and Russia (88 per cent). According to the Business
Software Alliance's (BSA) latest survey global software piracy grew from 37 percent in
2000 to 40 percent in 2001.
