GPU-Z 2.71 Adds RTX 50 Hotspot Temps - tech

TechPowerUp released GPU-Z 2.71.0 on 22 September 2026 with hotspot temperature support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series cards. The Sensors tab can now show the hottest point on the GPU instead of hiding the field or printing an invalid 255°C value.

That 255°C figure was a dummy reading after NVIDIA stopped exposing the hotspot through its public monitoring interface at Blackwell launch. The sensor itself was still on the chip, and tools such as HWMonitor and HWiNFO had already found a way to read it earlier this year.

Version 2.71.0 also reports the hottest memory chip on RTX 50 cards, with a tooltip for every VRAM temperature. RTX 50 owners who want the new readings should update GPU-Z from TechPowerUp’s official download page.
