Galactic Civilizations 2 Demo Plans - briefly
(hx) 12:06 AM CEST - Mar,27 2006 - Post a comment
GameSpot announces plans for a single-player demo for Galactic Civilizations 2, Stardock's space strategy sequel. The demo will be available on Thursday:

Destiny rests in your hands as you create and develop your very own interstellar empire! Conquer the galaxy through military might, cultural influence, diplomatic skill, or technological dominance. With an infinite number of choices, it's never the same galaxy twice!

The Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords demo offers an exciting taste of the turn-based strategy game that pits you against a galaxy full of treasures and dangers. The 173MB download offers you the chance to play as the humans and to test your strength against three other races.

In case you missed it, the official GalCiv 2 website now offers a new beta patch to update the sequel to beta version 1.1. Word is: "To find out what we've added, tweaked, enhanced, fixed, etc. you can read the [full history here]. That history is just what's new in 1.1 beta over 1.0X. If it's not listed in there, we didn't do it yet. We have other things we plan to do with 1.1 (such as the modding features) and then that'll be 1.1. Other stuff will go into the next free update."
