- Pentium 4: next price cut in May -
According to Taiwanese industrial sources, about May, 11, after Pentium4
with 800MHz FSB are released, Intel plans to cut prices for previous models.
Despite sales were high in January and February, distributors believe May
price cut will be well-timed to prolong market activity for some time.
- Valve Releases Hammer Port of Counterstrike Server -
Valve, L.L.C., creators of Counter-Strike and Half-Life, announced immediate
availability of
a 64-bit version of the Counter-Strike dedicated server using the upcoming
AMD Opteron processor. Counter-Strike has the largest service footprint of any
game on the Internet, with 35,000 servers generating over 4.5 billion player
minutes per month. In a straight port of code highly optimized for x86-32,
Counter-Strike dedicated server tests with both 32- and 64-bit versions
revealed a 30% clock-for-clock gain, and is expected to show further
performance gains in future upgrades.

The 7250
has all of the features that you want in a phone, for the most part. It is
triband GSM, it has a color display, polyphonic ringtones, Java, and a
speakerphone function, too. Sure, it is missing Bluetooth, but I pretty much
have given up on Nokia and Bluetooth ever really working well together. For as
much as Nokia seems bent on getting others to use their UI standard (Series
60), they sure seem unable to play by somebody elses rules (those of the
Bluetooth SIG).
