percent cut, and the 1900+ was reduced 22 percent, from $220 to $172. The company is

which has beaten its eternal rival, AMD Athlon XP.
- MSI G4Ti4600-VTD GeForce 4 Ti4600 - Based on nVidia's GF4Ti4600 chip we
already know that the G4Ti4600-VTD is going to be damn fast, but how does MSI separate
itself from the rest? The MSI's claim to fame has always been their value, and for as
little as $500 CDN ($325 US) you can pick up a MSI G4Ti4600-VTD and all the GeForce 4
Ti4600 goodness it comes with. As with many other manufacturer's, MSI has chosen to use
nVidia's reference design.
- Zoetrope = Savage XP - X-bit Labs has posted a new info
on what VIA/S3 Graphics is preparing in their graphics plans. Firstly, the official name
for Zoetrope will be SavageXP, another name, which allegedly doesn't have anything to do
with Windows XP. Secondly, the chip will be equipped with 64MB or 128MB DDR SDRAM
with 5.7GB/sec bandwidth. This is very little, because it corresponds to 350MHz (175MHz
DDR) frequency only.
Thirdly, the performance of Savage XP is supposed to be close to that of NVIDIA GeForc4
MX420, according to some preliminary data. Fourthly, they report that the price of Savage
XP will make only $15 per piece, which positions this chip as a Low-End and very Low-End
