  • Intel Unveils New Chipsets with Integrated Graphics - The trio of chipsets, which connect processors to the system memory and other parts of PCs, will boost the performance of PCs for both corporate and home users, Intel said. One of the chipsets, the 845G, is aimed at higher-end corporate and home PCs, which will likely cut into the sales of some lower-end graphics chips sold by Nvidia Corp. NVDA.O and others, analysts said.

  • Taiwan develops new optical disc - The National Science Council (NSC) said Sunday that a local research team has successfully developed a new optical disc that can hold more than 100 gigabytes of information. The research team was led by professor Tsai Ding-ping of National Taiwan University. The super-sized disc will be used at home to store large movie or music files, according to Tsai.

  • SUMA Platinum GeForce3 Ti500 SE and Ti200 SE Review - Many graphics card manufacturers today spend a lot of time and effort to make their products attractive and unique. • RDRAM vs. DDR SDRAM - Intel is moving its Pentium 4 platform to new 533MHz Quad Pumped Bus in two steps. The first step, which was undertaken on May 6, was the actual introduction of the processors intended to work with this bus and one chipset supporting them, i850E. Although, i850E supported only dual-channel RDRAM, which implied that those of you who were willing to build a high-performance system on Intel Pentium 4 processor with 533MHz bus were doomed to using RDRAM only. AT the same time Intel made a strategic decision: they will little by little give up using Rambus memory in their Pentium 4 systems in favour of more promising DDR SDRAM. And it means that i850E can never become a basic platform for Pentium 4 CPUs with 533MHz bus.

The BIOS of the EPoX 4G4A+ has numerous tweakable settings that makes it one of the most overclockable P4 board around. (you can check also another review of this board at OCWorkBench)
