  • PROTOS Remote SNMP Attack Tool - This tool (may be circulating in the computer underground) has the immediate ability to crash SNMP daemons and hardware devices running SNMP. The circulation of this tool may lead to a widespread use of new exploits to crash or compromise vulnerable systems. SNMP is ubiquitous as a network management protocol on the Internet. Nearly every operating system, router, switch, cable or DSL modem, and firewall is shipped with an SNMP service.
  • Dot-US Addresses Coming Soon - NeuStar Inc., the Washington-based company that last year won the government contract to operate dot-us, this week said that rank-and-file U.S. Internet users could start registering addresses ending in dot-us on April 24.
  • Windows XP Cracks Circulating - Two different programs, that can activate Windows XP without Microsofts blessing are circulating. The Patch made by the group Sad Team consists of a 700 KByte EXE-file that contains an Installer.
  • Four 5-Megapixel Cameras In Review - Though they are much more expensive than conventional film cameras, digital cameras have rapidly gained market popularity. And while they do not necessarily outsell in numbers, they are certainly market winners in terms of money. Anyone can find a good reason for succumbing to their charms. First of all, because they don't require film, there are no development costs. Secondly, they have features not found in conventional cameras - for instance, a Webcam mode or the ability to produce short movie sequences. In short, digital cameras strive to combine the quality of a film camera with the immediacy of a Polaroid. 24-hour, or even 1-hour photo development is thus rendered obsolete; photos can first be viewed on the monitor at the back of the camera, then on a computer.
  • Wireless LAN Jukebox Review - Want to be able to walk the entire range of your wireless LAN and control your MP3 jukebox? Set your killer speakers on the deck and have a bonfire in the back yard. Forget running up to the house to change CDs or waste time listening to the DJ on the radio. With our Wireless LAN Jukebox software you can control your MP3 jukebox with your Pocket PC using your wireless LAN.
  • CPU Price Guide - Hardcoreware has posted their weekly CPU price guide.
  • Liteon 32X CDRW Review - T-Break has posted a review of Liteon's 32X CDRW.
  • PleXWriter PX-W4012A IDE CDR-W Review -  Plextor's latest model with the codename PX-W4012A is the first ever recorder that supports 40x writing race and leads the writing race. At the same time frame, where the majority of other manufacturers have already or are about to ship their 32x writing proposals, Plextor moved ahead and presents a recorder that supports the faster recording speeds at both CD-R and CD-RW formats.
  • Inno3D Tornado GeForce4 MX 440 Graphics card review - The Inno3D GeForce4 MX 440 comes bundled with the usual Inno3D goodies which include a fairly well written manual, an Inno3D mousepad (not pictured), A/V cables and the Inno3D MegaPack Bundle which consists of their universal driver CD and various other software.
  • 4-Way GeForce4 MX Shootout - Taking many of the same board-level features of the GeForce4 and throwing in the sub-$150 video card market has generated a lot of interest in the boards. Unfortunately, with all the coverage that this chip has garnered, a certain amount of questionable press has arisen as of late.
  • 3DMark SE + GeForce 4 benchmarks - While new 3DMark SE (review) is out, there are some GeForce 4's scores at  NVNews (AMD Athlon XP 1800+, nForce Motherboard, GeForce4 Ti 4600, Detonator 27.30 drivers).
  • WinMX v3.0 beta 4 - WinMX is a file-sharing program. In addition to letting you share MP3s and other types of files, WinMX allows you to connect, simultaneously, to many established networks based on the OpenNap and Napster protocols. (thanks Rob)
  • ObjectBar 1.0 - ObjectBar is a brand new program that allows users to replace or extend their Windows Start bar. For all users, it provides a faster, more powerful, and much more productive way to interact with the Windows desktop.
