NEWS...

  • Wrestle Kingdom announced [Xbox 360] - Yuke's has officially announced Wrestle Kingdom for Xbox 360, the game is scheduled to release in Japan in winter 2005.
  • Metroid Prime 3 Details Emerge [GC] - Developer Retro Studios acknowledged that Metroid Prime 3 would bring the trilogy to an end. "The plot of Prime 3 is about closure, told against the backdrop of an epic struggle," Retro revealed. Once more, Samus Aran's adventure will take place in first-person mode. "We don't plan on using a third-person camera for the times when Samus is in a suit," the company confirmed.
    Resident Evil 4 Release Date [PS2] -
Capcom confirmed to PS2.IGN that Resident Evil 4 will be shipping to North American retailers on October 25 -- less than a week before Halloween.
  • Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Demo Play & Win Contest [Xbox] - The contest has players getting the upcoming multiplayer game's demo disc and playing it the most in the week of August 2-8. The person who plays the demo the most on Xbox Live will win the Grand prize - a trip for two to a Battlefield 2: Modern Combat community event. Ten first place winners will get signed and framed game concept art, and 25 runners-up will score a copy of the full retail game.
  • SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy BLOG [PS2] - While the information on the site has a little bit of information so far about the upcoming SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs, it has largely focused on the history of the franchise.
  • Final Fantasy No Longer PS3 Exclusive? [Xbox 360] - Here's another one for you, apparently Square Enix has said that the Final Fantasy AND Dragon Quest series are no longer exclusive to the Playstation 3 platform. This comment comes from the Square-Enix President himself as translated on a non-english speaking website.
  • Mutant Storm 2 Unveiled [Xbox 360] - PomPom Software today announced the signing of an agreement with Microsoft that will see both a new version of Mutant Storm and a sequel appearing exclusively on Xbox 360.

  • Gizmondo delays US launch - but angrily denies reports of problems [GIZ] - We're moving the release date, which is why there hasn't been anything promotion-wise yet," said the representative. "The new release date is now October for the North American Gizmondo launch. More details will be released next week. There will be a launch event, but at present it's not been decided where or when."
  • Sony PSP v2.0 Good or Bad? -  If you're the sort of person who is perfectly willing to hack the old firmware, or have someone hack for you, then this announcement is likely going to be bad news. The 2.0 update is basically a reaction to the modder community already having perfectly functional versions of all of the software included in the upgrade.
