"For four weeks, we are digging out a tomb of a pour tradesman from approximately 1,500BC. There were several tombs like this discovered here in the area close to Luxor. It is neither too preserved nor unusual. I didn't choose archaeology only to be finding a few broken pieces of glass and bricks. Where are the pyramids about which I dreamt? Well, everyone must begin. Our permit for digging will expire soon so we will return with doctor Roderson to England. I am looking forward. Finally we'll have a normal winter." So this is how the minutes of the young archaeologist Mac Bones begin in his diary, just one evening before an irretrievable change in his life occured. Next day, he does his usual archaeological work with his older colleague doctor Roderson. But then, their Arab assistant comes to them and tells them about a finding of a sarcophagus. Both archaeologists rush to see the finding. Doctor Roderson discovers that the sarcophagus is 2,000 years older than the tomb itself and he enthusiastically leaves the place in order to get another permit. Mac Bonez is left on the place with two Arab assistants. Now he feels a chance to discover something great and to puzzle the mystery out. He is successful that day. He immediately discovers two other tombs and an ancient chest that includes a stone seal and a golden artifact in the shape of a small pyramid. But the day is not over yet and the young archaeologist continues to be lucky: he discovers a secret entry into deep underground. Unfortunately, even luck must once be over and the roof of the tomb collapses. Poor Max remains buried underground and the only way out leads through a just discovered tunnel - into the unknown. Mac doesn't think too long and starts on a journey of destiny. This journey entangles him in the mesh of a story that was weaved in times when Egypt was only on the rise to the zenith of its fame. As Mac Bonez descends to the underground, he gets deeper into ancient tombs. He has no other choice than to try to find the way out. In order to reach exit, he needs to pass a dangerous journey full of enemies' hordes, ingenious traps and several different mechanisms of secret doors. The only thing that he finds at the end is a carefully locked and guarded tomb.
