ASUS Unveils 720Hz 1080p OLED at Gamescom - tech

ASUS unveiled the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace at Gamescom 2026, a 24.5-inch Full HD Tandem WOLED monitor that runs at 720Hz.
The company calls it the fastest OLED monitor it has made; unlike some earlier dual-mode panels that hit 720Hz only at 720p, this one is specified at 1080p.
It uses ASUS TrueBlack Glossy coating, a 0.02ms response time, and a built-in position sensor that shows height, tilt, and swivel on screen.
Display analyst Vincent Teoh, reporting from the show, listed 1,700-nit peak HDR brightness in a 1.5% window and DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20.
ASUS priced the PG259QWS Ace at $1,099, with sales planned for early Q4, and named it the official monitor of the 2026 PGL CS2 Major.
Two sibling 24.5-inch OLEDs join it: the 560Hz QD-OLED XG259QDPG Ace and the 360Hz XG259QDNS Ace.
