TechReport take an in-depth look at ATI's All-In-Wonder X1900. This card is based on the Radeon X1900 GPU, but it runs at different clock speeds (500MHz for the GPU and 480MHz /or 960MHz DDR/) than the familiar Radeon X1900 models XT and XTX, so its performance will be quite a bit different:

even if ATI wins in speed, they lose in support. ATI support sucks, community for it doesn't help when you post problems and people accuse your PC and then actual ATI spokespeople jump on the bandwagon as well. Then you know it's all BS when you see a few drivers down the road they've put out fixes for these problems they accused your PC being responsible for. This has happened to me approx 4 times in the years I had ATI. End result, game sitting on the shelf I can't play because it reboots my PC. They always say they look at community sites yet they miss huge ATI vs nVidia flame wars which is quite coincidental when it's a game that doesn't work properly for ATI. Most of their community surfing staff is banned by a lot of gaming sites, literally all nVidia sites. ATI might have a good product but with piss poor support and stupid reps you'd have to be crazy to go with them. Don't forget most games are designed with nVidia in mind NOT ATI. Care to challenge that? find "a" game or state many games designed for ATI. There are literally none. Call nVidia TWIMTBP advertising but then that shows how much you really know about gaming on the PC. That's my rant. |
