ing less, or maybe an RTX 4080 Super for more; on the AMD side, that is more likely an RX 7900 XT or RX 7900 XTX, or possibly the uot;newuot; GRE (with its global launch). The GTX 1080 Ti and 1080 Pascal architecture GPUs can't reasonably handle real-time ray tracing, so obviously those charts are absent. A modern

It was a ridiculous priced GPU on release in the U.K.
I remember it was around £700.
My EVGA GTX 1060 SC 6GB was £275

The 1080 in modern terms was the 4090 of the day.

My ASUS ROG Maximus V Gene, plus 1060, 3570k , Tagan PSU and RAM came to £750. Yeah I laughed

Mine is still doing excellent work in my home theater PC. And since it's an MSI triple fan, the whole rig is basically silent.

Should my main gaming rig crash and burn for some reason... that old 1080p PC is still powerful enough that I could swap to it and play games at decent settings thanks to that 1080.

In fact, thanks to AMD, it can even do FSR upscaling, no thanks to Nvidia.

I'm on AMD now and love it, but the GTX cards were when Nvidia was way less awful. They've gotten worse and worse and greedier and greedier since.
