Using Redstone, a Minecraft Redditor constructed an in-game Geometry Dash.

A Minecraft Redditor shared a wonderful design to the subreddit earlier today, on March 16, 2021. It was a video of them playing Geometry Dash, an in-game game.

The game is entirely constructed of Redstone, and the player is required to play along with it. The Geometry Dash square player jumps every time the player steps on a pressure plate, just like in the real-life version of the game. The pressure plate is linked to a bigger Redstone network behind the screen through Redstone.
The massive screen in the image above is 36 by 21 pixels, for a total of 756 pixels. The game has a frame rate of 1.66 fps, whereas the square player has a frame rate of 1.25 fps. Because it must detect the blocks beneath it and jumps from the Minecraft player, the square player moves more slowly.

A rundown on how to code Redstone in Minecraft.

What makes this build even more amazing is the massive quantity of Redstone storage hidden behind the screen. Green and blue blocks are completely customizable storage units with a maximum capacity of 6,111 pixels. This is more than enough to play a round of Geometry Dash and can last up to three and a half minutes in Minecraft.

The green and blue areas are further subdivided into smaller sections, which make up each of the screen's blocks. Each block is 3x3, which means it has 9 pixels. Each pixel in the block is represented by a number on the green lines. Simply set a Redstone torch on the blue line precisely above the desired green line to make a pixel light up. The illustration below shows how this works graphically.

I was able to develop a completely editable game using this pixel block method. This straightforward style is ideal for coding complicated elements like spikes.

Explanation in video format

This incredible build took Minecraft Reddito over 36 hours to complete. The game's universe can be downloaded here. I Like Stairs also created an empty version of the game that may be downloaded from anywhere in the world. Mechanics may learn more about Redstone by visiting I Like Stairs' YouTube channel, which has a video detailing everything.
