Is there any difference between 3Dfx and Direct 3D.
I have seen many games that have both the options to start the game with.
The 3dFX is always somekind of GLIDE technology.
Is it a very high quality mode? |

wow !
now, 3dfx was a videocard manufacturer, like nvidia today. They introduced the "Glide" stardard as renderer. If you have a 3dfx card, the best quality is achieved in "glide", then in direct3d, and last in opengl, in this order. |

Isnt OpenGL the latest and the best renderer.
As most games now suggest an OpenGL compatible card |
