I wonder if the Germans or Russian seeking to use Win10 will build a decent software firewall that filters out all the rubbish the Americans and the Chinese are trying to collect.
Agnitum Outpost was one of those but it was sold recently so it's no more.

I guess it will help Trumps' business growth.

They get a backdoor built into just about anything. Not sure why WhatsApp is any more special than Windows or Skype.

Good news.

Meh. It's a very small market. I wonder how much they invested.
Then again, they can afford it. |

Agnitum was indeed a great firewall. I suggest you check out SpyShelter as a replacement. |

The metadata collected may be used for improving a product however the data goes well beyond that need. The other post of the NSA sharing information WITHOUT WARRANT is a further watering down of lines of privacy. EU regulations, Russian control of the media, etc. Tom makes the point we all know every entity and his dog is collecting all sorts of information on each one of us and we've all read it in science fiction books of the past. We're doomed gentlemen.
I remember the young internet and its simplicity. Now the money grubbers, the eyeballs of big brother, and regulatory freaks have screwed it all up for the rest of us. |

Thanks for the recommendation!
I see there is a firewall-only build available, but I could not find any current reviews of the firewall piece (all reviews included the other piece).
This looks good, though it is two years old.
Are you actively using it?
How do you find it in comparison to Outpost?
Rule creation?
Thanks! |
