This is precisely why PC gamers perceive console ports as shovelware -- because they are. With very rare exceptions, devs and publishers are just looking to tack a bit of "extra" onto their console revenue stream, and they view the PC market as too small to invest any real time or effort in conversion. Any money they may glean from a port to PC is just icing on the balance sheet; they're not about to actually dump resources into it. There is much coke to be snorted off hookers' asses, after all. |
