Absolutely! Almost modded all of Dawn of War and added pretty much every last War40k character's voice in the epic available for all to use so this is welcome news apart from waiting for the Vapourware DoW3. |

Excellent! Chaos Gate is one of the games that has been (and still is) installed on every computer I've owned since 1998. It's still a better game than any of Relic's attempts to RTS-ize the gameplay of 40K.
With any luck, Slitherine will do such a bang up job, GW will kick Relic to the curb. I realize I'm in the minority opinion on this, but I've never particularly liked Relic or their game design philosophy, especially where the 40K license is concerned. |

I'm really sceptical:
http://www.slitherine.com/games
Their list of games vary from obscure games I've never heard of, to shitty games and some edging towards mediocre.
I have no idea how they landed this deal with games workshop after the quality of games Relic has been pushing out. |

Dawn of War 1 and 2 (c) Relic/THQ is arguably the best War40k game ever made in digital format. Coupled with all the insane mods there is unlikely any War40k game ever to be released going forward to touch its scope (considering the scale of War40k makes both Star Trek and Stars Wars combined look amateurish by comparison). Still.. I always welcome something down the road to be as good as both DoW1/2 + all its mods to come close but I doubt you'll ever see the amount of content available as is in DoW1/2 but especially 1 (DoW2 doesn't remotely have as much as DoW1 has that represents almost all of the War40k universe). |

I was happy with the relic games to be honest. I didn't care for how the series started going though after dark crusade or imperial winter assault or whatever it was called though. The in game movies alluded to something possibly deeper on the whole leveling a hero thing with more planets or maybe it was for that shitty mmo. |

The Panzer games were good - only their engine sucked. |
