Not the first time they are wrong.
Each hop adds 10s of milliseconds. So, the only way to minimize the lag is to get id of the hops. How do you get rid of the hops? You move the game closer to the gamer. That means, that your service provider will give you the cloud game.
But: do people really want cloud gaming? I don't.
Some might because that mean that your game is independent of platform and performance.
But, you'll not be able to play anywhere you want - which is a big deal for me as I am traveling most of the time. |

Cloud gaming is a farce. The whole cloud whatever thing has been a catchphrase for awhile now. The only useful thing out of the whole rewording of things was the file storage and sharing. Problem with all that though is we already have ftp servers among other methods of sharing they just aren't called cloud sharing. Let's just rename a bunch of shit to make it sound catchy and pretend it's better. |

Yep.
Service providers want to get paid when you share files so they make up stuff and try to convince you that you need it (much like Apple does with iPhone). |
