Quote: | BioWare Head: Wii 'Like a Toy Experience' |
So friggin' what when Super Smash Brothers Brawl: Wii ( as a tiny example) outsells the entire PS3 catalogue!
For the month of March, Super Smash Bros Brawl sold 2.7 million copies. Compare this the entire catalogue sales for the PS3 for the same month of 1.9 million.
Green with envy is the operative word for Bioware et al
They spend MILLIONS of bucks on software to sell PEANUTS and thus recoup a pittance!
For eg, the XBox SDK is 5 times the cost of the Wii's.
When your in the business of making money, you don't give a $hit how it comes in and in what format, as long as it comes in!! -it's the anal mindset of some PC gamers who think that their format is the best, and the fact that publishers have to sell that misleading fact and convince them it is.
Whereas consoles like the Wii have already got their data base and thus don't have to pull the wool over the gamers eyes. Sales speak for themselves.
The PC is *always* having to sell itself because it has a handicap in that to sell a game you need to also sell hardware. I know -if as a business man- where my loyalties would lie. |
