To set it up, you simply look at your camera and follow short guided head movements that capture your face from multiple angles.

When locked out later, you record a fresh selfie video that Google matches against the saved one while checking for live movements to block deepfakes.

The video is encrypted, stored only with your consent, and can be deleted anytime from your account settings.

This optional recovery method joins passkeys and recovery contacts, giving users more ways to regain access securely.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Already Beats S26 Ultra - tech

Samsung has launched its eighth-generation lineup of foldable phones, introducing a new form factor that it calls the Z Fold8, while the form factor of last year's Z Fold7 lives on as the new "Z Fold8 Ultra". The new Z Fold8 is 34mm shorter and 9mm wider than Samsung's traditional "Fold" form factor, with new screen sizes of 7.6" for the inner display and 5.5" for the cover. All three new models upgrade to Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chip, and Samsung's new Flex Titanium technology, intended to reduce the display "crease" common on foldable phones. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra maintains the exact same dimensions and display sizes as last year's Fold7, but has several upgrades, including a better wide-angle camera (50 megapixel vs. 12), larger battery (5,000 mAh vs. 4,400), faster charging (45W wired / 20W wireless), and a low-reflection display finish. Once again, it sees a $100 price hike, now starting at $2100. The new Galaxy Z Fold8 has most of the features of its larger sibling, differing only in main camera resolution (50 megapixel vs. 200), dropping the 3x telephoto camera, and battery size (4,800 mAh vs. 5,000, still larger than last year's Fold7). It starts at $1,900. The Galaxy Z Flip8 is largely similar to last year's Flip7, but 0.6mm thinner and 8g lighter. It also has new AI features available on the cover display. It also sees a $100 price hike, now starting at $1200. All three models will come in Graphite and Cream, plus various shades of purple/pink for each model, and various shades of green exclusively from samsung.com. The lineup ships August 7th. Pre-orders start today, and include up to $200 in credit toward accessories.

IGN has shared a new video for The Blood of Dawnwalker, featuring 8 minutes of new gameplay footage from it. The video showcases the Pearly and Precious mission, from start to finish. This is a relatively short adventure, but one that introduces a brand new creature: a sanzhana, or 'pixie'.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a single-player open-world dark fantasy vampire action RPG. It’s developed by former The Witcher devs, and it will be using Unreal Engine 5.

In the game, you play as Coen. Coen is a young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night.

Players will use their skills and combine vampiric strength with human resolve as they take on a quest to save the ones they love. They will face their foes – be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself.

According to the devs, players will have 30 in-game days to complete the main story. Moreover, time will move forward every time you do something important.

Bandai Namco will release The Blood of Dawnwalker on September 3.

We have detected several campaigns using fake downloads of games, mods, cracks, and software to spread RenPy Loader. Once installed, the loader starts a complex, multi-stage infection chain that abuses MSBuild and the EtherHiding technique before ultimately delivering Amatera Stealer.

Amatera is an infostealer—a type of malware designed to steal sensitive information from an infected device. It can target passwords and other data stored in browsers, cryptocurrency wallets, browser extensions, messaging apps, and local files. Stolen credentials and session data may also allow attackers to access the victim’s online accounts.

The victim may see what appears to be a normal game or software installer while the malware runs silently in the background.

RenPy Loader, also known as RenEngine Loader, is particularly interesting because it abuses Ren’Py, a legitimate engine used to create visual novels, story-driven games, and interactive fiction. By hiding malicious code inside software associated with gaming, attackers can make their downloads appear more believable to people looking for games, mods, or cracked software.

Publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward have announced beta dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. An Early Access beta for users who pre-ordered the game will run from August 21 to 25 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, while an open beta for all players will run from August 28 to September 1 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC. Call of Duty: NEXT, Activision’s event featuring live gameplay, a full Multiplayer content briefing, and new reveals ahead of the beta, will take place on August 21.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Battle.net on October 23. Pre-orders are available now on all platforms except Switch 2, which will open pre-orders on August 26.
