- Star Wars Empire at War preview -
1UP has posted a preview of
Star
Wars: Empire at War, the upcoming sci-fi 3D real-time strategy game by
Petroglyph Games.
- The Witcher: Interview -
RPGVault.hu has
posted an interview with CD Projekt developers Rafal Nowocien (Level
designer), Michal Kicinski (Joint CEO) and Joanna Kobylecka (PR Specialist),
talking about The Witcher,
their upcoming RPG.
- SiN Episodes At CES -
Ritualistic reports that
they will be showing SiN
Episodes: Emergence at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show, taking
place from January 5 - 8 in Las Vegas. The game will be part of the Games for
Windows display at Microsoft's booth, located at Central Hall / 7144.
- Bio Menace -
3D Realms has
released yet another full game from their Apogee shareware past. This time
it's Bio Menace, a
1993 side scroller that uses the Commander Keen engine created by id Sotware.
- HellChess v1.3 Full Game -
HellHound Software
Group has released an updated version of
HellChess,
their multiplatform chess game. CPU strength can now be adjusted, skin has
been changed, and more.
- Space Race Free Game - Intermediaware has released for free
Space
Race, a fast and fun 3D-Racing Game where you control a glider through a
3D tunnel.
- Dungeon Siege II "making of" movie - Gas Powered Games has released
a
new movie trailer of Dungeon Siege II (129MB), illustrating the
development of their 3D fantasy role-playing sequel that came out last August.

- Chronica Modificatus Issue 1 - Relicnews has published
the first issue of Chronica Modificatus. Written by Finaldeath, this
editorial presents news, updates and interviews from the modding community for
Dawn of War. This issue also includes an interview with Ruosteinen about his
Capture the Flag modification for Dawn of War.
- Trailer for The Hills Have Eyes Shocks - Fox Searchlight Pictures
has posted
the new trailer for The Hills Have Eyes remake. A new take on Wes Craven's
1977 film of the same name, The Hills Have Eyes is the story of a family road
trip that goes terrifyingly awry when the travelers become stranded in a
government atomic zone. Miles from nowhere, the Carters soon realize the
seemingly uninhabited wasteland is actually the breeding ground of a
blood-thirsty mutant family...and they are the prey.
- Pirates of the Caribbean website Online - Walt Disney Pictures has
launched the official
website for next July's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. The
site features a Flash intro, the trailer, a gallery (concept art & behind the
scenes), downloads (desktops, icons and the poster), a place to register for
updates and more.
- The world's smallest film contest - An Ithaca College dean is
encouraging students to instead think small. And she's offering a $5,000 prize
to do it. The school has invited
high school and college students across America to submit a 30-second movie
shot entirely with a cell phone.
- OQO 01+ reviewed -
The OQO Model 01+ is a fully-functional ultra-thin PC that almost defies
the laws of physics with its size. It features a 1GHz processor, 512 MB of
RAM, and a 30-gig hard drive.
- Samsung's Super WiBro Phone -
Samsung unveiled the SPH-H1000 DMB/WiBro phone at an exhibition in Korea.
Not only is it a wireless broadband receiver, but it can handle VOIP, too. The
screen is a 2.2-inch QVGA 262k, and along with received DMB satellite
broadcasts there is a TV-out port for connecting to a larger screen. The
camera comes in 2- or 3-megapixel models.
- Cube World Digital Stick People - The little stick figure people
inside the cubes have their own personality. The cubes have magnets to stick
them together.
People from connected cubes are interacting with each other. Additionally
the cubes have a motion sensor and buttons to interact directly with the
little guys.
