has written a review
of the Wizardry 8 demo
that was released last week. Here is a snip:
"Combat is amazing, it is turned based or there is a continuous turn based option. I left it on turned based. Combat can be sped up or slowed down as desired. At the beginning of each round, you select actions for each party member. When all actions are selected, you press enter, and the round is carried out. Characters default to certain actions, so if you want to perform the defaults each round, then you just press enter. Recently performed actions are stored, so if you need to repeat a spell, it’s a quick click away. With the combat tuned as slow or fast as you need it, it allows the party to think out and plan strategies to overcome the situation. The game also has several difficulty levels for inexperienced as well as expert RPG players." [more] |
