Dark Sector preview - Have you wondered lately what's been going
on with Digital Extremes'
Dark Sector?
GameSpot checked out a brief demo: "We were particularly impressed by
the lighting effects--at one point Tenno walked by some boarded-up
windows and we saw the light. There's also some nice detail in the
characters. For instance, when the player melee-killed one of those machete
soldiers by snapping his neck, the attack actually knocked the guy's mask
upwards, and we were able to see his fully modeled face behind it."

- Final Fantasy Versus XIII Trailer -
A trailer featuirng just under three minutes of cinematic footage from
Final Fantasy Versus XIII, an action based Final Fantasy title exclusively
for the PS3.
- Sam & Max Episode 2 movie - Telltale Games has released
a new official trailer from Situation Comedy, the upcoming second
installment in the episodic Sam & Max game.
- Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory patches v2.05 -
This new
patch adds multiskin support (for which a multiskin file is also
available), advanced flight modeling, stability improvements, AI and terrain
enhancements, faster loading times, improved visual effects and sounds, bug
fixes, and more.
- Call of Juarez Map Pack - Techland has released the first
multiplayer map pack for
Call of Juarez,
expanding the Wild West first-person shooter by Techland. This pack offers
eight new maps titled Burrito, Crusade, Den, El Paso, Getaway, Mine
Encounter, St. Peter's Gate and Twilight that are playable in all four game
modes. The 222 MB download is available on
3D Gamers,
FileFront, Gamer's
Hell, and
Worthplaying.

Forge of Freedom to v1.23 and includes a variety of updates along with a

Battlefield 2142 v1.10 beta patch.
- Madden NFL 2007 - Roster Update #4 -
The fourth roster update has been released for the US downloaded version
of Madden NFL 07. This update is required in order to play online
- Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened v1.1 Patch (German) -
A patch updating the German edition of Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened to v1.1.
It addresses crash & bugs, compatibility problems, and adds the ability to
skip dialogue.

Star Trek: Legacy v1.1 Patch - Bethesda Softworks released
a
patch for Star Trek: Legacy updating it to v1.1. It addresses problems
with the GameSpy multiplayer.
- Football Mogul Announced -
Enlight announced Football Mogul 2007, a new installment in their Sports
Mogul series The game will ship to North American retail stores in
December, just in time for the holidays, at an SRP of $19.99.
- The Settlers II: The Next Generation - The Vikings Announced -
German Settlers II
website announces plans for Wikinger (Vikings), an upcoming expansion
for The Settlers II: The Next Generation, Blue Byte's strategy/management
remake. The expansion's release is planned for February 2007 in
German-speaking countries.
- Valve Weekly Update - Valve
is again addressing some issues with weapon pricing in Counter-Strike:

has been increasing steadily and is now somewhat out of control. This is
happening because the Desert Eagle is considerably more useful than the rest
of the pistols -- purchasing one of the others is not a smart buy. We'll
address this by making the Five Seven, P228, and Dual Elites more effective.
The prices of all pistols have been reset to their previous defaults in
preparation for this change."
- PS3 Still On Target For 1 Million Shipped, Says Sony - Sony
Playstation's PR head David Karraker is still claiming that the company
is on target to ship a total of 1 million Playstation 3 consoles in the US
by the end of the year
- Nintendo Wii Sells 50,000 Units In 12 Hours In UK -
Nintendo UK has reported that 50,000 units of the console were sold in
just 12 hours.
